So I was watching TV last night after lamenting about yet another 3 hours of wasted class time. (I am a 29 y/o returning to college in classes with 18 y/os who haven't figured out that they just might need to pay attention) when I see a commercial for Target. Now I love Target but I stopped loving Target when I saw the ad for the "Pre-made Hannah Montana Easter Basket" and the Pre-made High School Musical Easter Basket". Are you kidding me?

Where have the only one ear eaten chocolate bunnies gone? The celephane grass that is a choking hazard? The digging for jelly beans for weeks after Easter only to find a bushel more when you finally give up and throw the choking-hazard grass out? I need my peeps. I need my over sized stuffed bunny rabbit. I need the wicker basket it all comes in that I will save for years because I just can't throw it... after all I got it for Easter! I want my stupid cadebury bunny commercials. Ohhh... and the robin's eggs. I think cadebury makes those too.

I want to color eggs the old fashion way (in mugs that are discolored from years and years of coloring eggs and drying them in the stupid box that never really holds them up) I want to put the shrinky things on them that never shrank right and were always lopsided. I want to smell like vinegar and have purple fingers for days.

I WANT EASTER. Not the commercialized Hannah Montana Easter. Have you seen HM lately. She looks like she is 23 and has been hagin out with Lohan and Hilton in her spare time.

For those of you who are wondering if I even remember that this is a religious holiday and that Jesus died on the cross for us and all of that... Yes I do. But I am sure that Jesus would pick coloring eggs with me over hanging with HM.
